Adorable Antique Victorian / Edwardian Good Size 9ct Gold Bear Charm
This rare, characterful and good size antique charm dates from the late Victorian or Edwardian era and is made of hallmarked 9ct gold. The bear has realistic styling detail and lovely features such as the unusual front paws and the detailing on the back paws. The gold has a rich, mellow, tone and is somewhere between yellow gold and rose gold in colour.
The charm weighs 0.8g (it’s hollow)
The bear measures approximately 2.3cms height (excluding the top suspension ring)
The side of one of the bear’s legs has a ‘9CT’ tag (see photo)
This charm is well over 100 years old and is in very good condition for its age, with no dents or damage and showing just light signs of age / general wear. There is a tiny gap on a side of one of the feet but this is original and at the site of a join in the gold. The suspension ring has been cut where the charm was removed from a bracelet.
