These antique earrings date from around 1910 - 1920 and are made of 9ct gold (both the ear fittings and the chain sections). Each earring is set with a teardrop shaped onyx drop and the ear fittings have an accent seed pearl. The earrings have secure lever back ear fittings which open easily and spring back to close as they should.
The earrings are slightly different lengths: one is 4cms total drop (from the top of the ear fitting to the base of the onyx drop) and one is 3.8cms (one chain section is 2mm shorter than the other).
The earrings have a combined weight of 2.3g
As is sometimes the case with jewellery of this age and type there are no hallmarks; the earrings have been professionally tested (all parts) and are made of 9ct gold.
These earrings are at least 100 years old and are in good condition for their age, showing light signs of age / general wear. As mentioned, one is earring is 2mm shorter than the other. Both onyx drops are in good condition. The earrings open easily and close securely with a nice, crisp, spring back closure. On close inspection it appears that one of the seed pearls is likely to be a faux replacement and a tiny drill hole is visible. The price reflects the condition.
