This lovely, unusual, antique brooch dates from around 1920 and is made of hallmarked Sterling silver. The brooch bar is centred by an enamelled Airedale Terrier with lovely, realistic styling detail.
The brooch bar measures 5.9cms length. The terrier has a maximum height of 1.3cms.
The brooch weighs 3.1g
One side of the brooch bar is stamped ‘STERLING SILVER’ along with a maker’s mark.
This antique brooch is around 100 years old and is in good condition for its age, showing light signs of age / general wear. There is a little enamel loss to the dog’s back leg and tail.
