Antique Early Victorian Gold Cased & Chalcedony Fob / Seal / Pendant

£49.00
sold out

This antique fob seal dates from the early Victorian era and would sit very well on a neck chain or charm bracelet. The base is set with an chalcedony panel which has the initials ‘MFD’ engraved in a Gothic script.

The base of the fob measures 1.2cms x 1.4cms and fob has a height of 2cms (excluding the top suspension ring).

The fob weighs 3.6g

There are no hallmarks, the seal has been professionally tested and has been found to be gold cased.

This fob is around 160 - 170 years old and is in good condition for its age, showing just light signs of age / general use. Under magnification it can be seen that the gold casing is in good condition showing a little wear on some of the edges / corners, but this is not obvious to the naked eye. The chalcedony panel is in very good condition with no chips or damage.
