Antique Edwardian (1904) Porcelain Scent Bottle With Silver Cap
This pretty and collectable antique scent bottle is made of porcelain and has a fully hallmarked silver cap, with a date stamp for 1904. One side of the scent bottle depicts a courting couple with gold detail around. The cap has a maker’s stamp of ‘A.B&C’ which is likely to be for A Bromet & Co.
The scent bottle measures 7.6cms length and it weighs 18.1g
The cap is stamped with the lion passant (for Sterling silver), along with hallmarks showing that the scent bottle was made in Birmingham in 1904.
This scent bottle is 121 years old and is in good condition for its age, showing just light signs of age / general wear. There are no chips or damage to the bottle itself or the blue paintwork, which has a glossy finish. The image is clear with no damage; there is a little wear to the gilding detail around the edges. The silver cap has nice, clear, hallmarks. There are a few very small dents to the left of the hallmark (see photo). The cap screws / unscrews easily.
