These beautiful, stylish and hard to find antique earrings are made of fully hallmarked Sterling silver and dates from 1910. The earrings have screw fittings and were made by the collectable silversmith / jewellers JA&S (John Atkins & Sons). Each earring has vibrant guilloche enamelling in royal blue and pearlescent white; the white enamelling cleverly imitates pearls in the central section of each earring and on the stud part.
Each earring has a total drop (from the top of the stud part to the bottom earring tip) of 4.4cms and the earrings have a combined weight of 3.7g
The reverse of each earring is stamped with the lion passant (for Sterling silver), along with hallmarks showing that the earrings were made in Birmingham in 1910 by the silversmith / jewellers JA&S (John Atkins & Sons).
These antique earrings are 116 years old and are in good condition for their age. The blue enamelling is in lovely condition with no loss or damage. The white pearlescent enamel shows a little variation in surface finish in a couple of areas but this does not stand out when the earrings are worn. The ear fittings screw / unscrew as they should.
