Antique Edwardian 9ct Gold, Almandine Garnet and Pearl Spider Pendant
This gorgeous and unusual antique pendant dates from around 1910 - 1920 and is made of hallmarked 9ct gold. The pendant features a spider with a vibrant almandine garnet abdomen and a seed pearl head. The spider is made of 9ct rose gold and the circular pendant frame is a rich 9ct yellow gold.
The circular part of the pendant measures 1.9cms diameter and the pendant weighs 1.9g
The reverse of the bale is stamped ‘9CT’ for 9ct gold
This antique pendant is over 100 years old and is in very good condition for its age, with no damage and showing just very light signs of age / general wear. The garnet and pearl are in lovely condition. The bale has a slight indentation which I think is probably original and part of the design.
