Antique Edwardian 9ct Gold and Peridot Pendant Necklace

£169.00

This stylish and elegant antique pendant dates from the Edwardian era and is made of 9ct yellow gold. The pendant comprises of two oval outer frames and a central natural peridot, set in a scrolled mount. By design the ovals move independently of each other. The pendant is set on a vintage 9ct gold chain, which is later in date than the pendant but goes well with it.

The pendant itself measures 3cms height (including the integral bale) and the chain is 18” in length.

The necklace (i.e. the pendant and chain combined) weighs 2.3g

The chain’s clasp is stamped ‘375’ for 9ct gold. The pendant bears a registration mark and tests as 9ct solid gold.

This antique pendant and vintage chain are offered for sale in very good condition with no damage and showing just very light signs of age / general wear. By design the ovals in the pendant are gathered and held in the bale by two ‘notches’, which means that the outer oval can move within the mount; the ovals naturally fall into place when the pendant is worn. The chain’s catch is in secure working order.
