This pretty antique stickpin is made of hallmarked 9ct yellow gold and dates from the Edwardian era. The rhombus shaped terminal is set with a central vibrant blue paste stone and is surrounded by eight genuine seed pearls.
The stickpin measures 5.6cms height and the terminal measures 11mm x 11mm
The stickpin weighs 1.1g
The side of the pin bears a partial ‘9CT’ stamp and the reverse of the terminal also bears an unclear stamp (the terminal and pin have both been professionally tested and are made of 9ct yellow gold).
This antique stickpin is over 100 years old and is in good condition for its age, showing light signs of age / general wear. Under magnification (and in the enlarged photos) it can be seen that one of the seed pearls has a crack, one is an irregular shape and a couple could be historic replacements. However these flaws are not obvious to the naked eye.
