This good size antique bar brooch dates from around 1910 and is made of hallmarked 9ct gold. The ring is set with a central peridot, which is surrounded by four seed pearls (two natural seed pearls and two faux pearl replacements). A loop is attached to the underside of the brooch so that a safety chain can be fitted.
The brooch has a length of 5.3cms and a maximum height of 1.5cms. It weighs 2.3g
The side of the brooch is stamped ‘9CT’ for 9ct gold. The pin itself is not gold.
This antique brooch is over 100 years old and is in fair / good condition for its age, showing light signs of age / general wear. Two of the seed pearls are later faux replacements. The pin / clasp are in secure working order.
