Antique Edwardian 9ct Gold 'Pools of Light' Locket Pendant

£85.00
sold out

This antique locket pendant is made of 9ct yellow gold and dates from around 1910 - 1920. The locket comprises of two domed glass halves; the glass reflects the light nicely and magnifies the contents of the locket. Please note that this locket has condition issues (see below for details) and this is reflected in the price.

The locket measures 1.7cms diameter and the locket has a depth of 10.5mm.

The pendant’s bale bears a partial ‘9ct’ stamp; the locket frame and mount have also been professionally tested and are made of 9ct yellow gold.

There is a small edge chip on one half of the glass, near where the locket opens (please see photos). Apart from this there is no significant damage to the glass; it just shows light general wear. The frame is in good condition. The locket opens easily and closes by lining up the notch with the recess in the frame and pushing them together. The closure is basically secure but the locket opens a little more easily than it should and could benefit from a repair. The locket’s defects are reflected in the price.
