This antique brooch dates from around 1900 - 1910 and is made of hallmarked 9ct gold. The brooch has a sinuous, stylised knot form and is a lovely mellow shade (it’s between yellow gold and rose gold in colour). The brooch is centrally set with a lustrous seed pearl and two vibrant, pinky red, natural rubies.
The brooch measures 3.7cms length, has a height of 1cm and it weighs 2.6g
The reverse of the brooch is stamped ‘9CT’ for 9ct gold. The pin itself is not gold.
This antique brooch is over 100 years old and is in very good condition for its age, with no dents or damage and showing just very light signs of age / general wear. The rubies and pearl are also in very good condition.
