Antique Edwardian 9ct Rose Gold, Almandine Garnet and Seed Pearl Ring
This antique ring dates from the Edwardian era and is made of hallmarked 9ct rose gold. The ring is set with a natural, cabochon cut, almandine garnet in a vibrant and rich mulberry shade; the garnet catches and reflects the light very nicely due to the cabochon cut. The garnet is surrounded by seed pearls and the ring has a closed back setting.
The ring is a UK size K and a half / between a US size 5 - 5.5
The ring front has a height of 1.3cms and the ring weighs 2.7g
The inside of the ring shank is stamped ‘9CT’ for 9ct gold.
This antique ring is over 100 years old and is in good condition for its age, showing light signs of age / general wear. Although they can’t been picked up by the naked eye, there are some light superficial scratches to the garnet which are visible under magnification. The seed pearls vary a little in shade an surface finish and under magnification a few show some surface wear. The gold setting and band are in very good condition.
