Antique Edwardian 9ct Rose Gold and Opal Ring

£135.00

This pretty antique ring dates from the Edwardian era and is made of hallmarked 9ct rose gold. The ring front is set with five oval, natural, cabochon cut opals. The opals have more colour and life than the photos show and have a generally pinky background colour.

The ring is a UK size P and a half / between a US size 7.5 - 8

The ring front has a maximum height (in the centre) of 6mm and the ring weighs 1.6g

The inside of the ring shank is stamped ‘375’ and ‘9’ for 9ct gold. There are also some foreign gold convention marks.

This antique ring is over 100 years old and shows light signs of age / general wear. Under magnification it can be seen that there is a small chip to two of the opals, but these are not visible to the naked eye. The opals all appear secure in their settings but there is a little wear to some of the claws. One of the opals has a small ‘gap’ to the side. The price reflects the condition.
