sold out

This antique locket pendant dates from the Edwardian era and is in the form of an opening heart with two locket compartments inside. The front of the locket has an attractive engraved scrolling design with a central heart, which could be engraved with initials. The reverse of the locket has lovely floral engraving detail. The locket is of the 9ct gold ‘back and front’ variety, which means that the front and back of the locket are made of 9ct gold and that the frame, securing rings and top ring are made of a gold coloured metal (which improves the locket’s strength and durability). The inside of the locket has all its original components: two blue coloured locket liners, two inner securing rings and two Perspex type protective covers.

The locket has a height of 1.8cms (excluding the bale and suspension ring) and it weighs 3.7g

The reverse of the locket is stamped ‘GOLD FRONTS’ for 9ct gold ‘back and front’ (see above for detail).

This antique locket pendant is over 100 years old and is in good condition for its age, with no dents or damage and showing just light signs of age / general wear. The locket opens easily and closes securely. The top 9ct gold suspension ring has not been soldered closed.
