This collectable antique brooch dates from the Edwardian era and was made by the prestigious jewellers Murrle Bennett & Co. The brooch is made of hallmarked 9ct rose gold and is centrally set with a lustrous cultured pearl. The brooch is loaded with sentiment with a heart motif and also the lover’s knot detail within the heart.
The brooch measures 3.4cms in length and it weighs 1.3g
The brooch is stamped ‘9CT’ for 9ct gold and also ‘MB&Co’ for Murrle Bennett & Co (see photo).
This antique brooch is at least 100 years old and is in good condition for its age, with no damage and showing just light signs of age / general wear. The pin itself isn’t quite 100% perfectly straight.
