This adorable little antique piggy charm dates from the late Victorian or Edwardian era and is made of hand carved natural coral. The coral has lovely naturally occurring colour variation and the charm is set with 9ct gold fittings.
The piggy measures 1cm length from snout tip to tail tip and the charm weighs 0.5g
There are no hallmarks but the fittings test as 9ct gold.
This antique charm is over 100 years old and is in very good original condition, showing just light signs of age / general wear. One of the pig’s legs is shorter than the others, but this is just the way he was made. The top suspension ring shows light general wear and has not been soldered closed.
