Antique Edwardian Silver Gilt and Moonstone Bug Stickpin

This charming and unusual antique stickpin dates from the Edwardian era. The stickpin is silver gilt and the terminal is in the form of a bug. The bug is set with two natural, cabochon cut, moonstones and a dark red paste stone.

The stickpin measures 5.5cms length and the bug itself is 1.2cms long. The stickpin weighs 1.0g

As is often the case with jewellery of this age and type there are no hallmarks, but the stickpin has been professionally tested and is silver gilt (gold plating over solid silver).

This antique stickpin is over 100 years old and is in very good condition for its age, with no damage an showing just light signs of age / general wear. The moonstones and the paste stone are all in very good condition with no chips, damage or wear.
