

















Antique Georgian 15ct Gold, Coral and Hair Mourning Brooch in Very Good Condition
This collectable antique brooch dates from around 1800 - 1820 and is a lovely example of its type. The brooch is made of 15ct yellow gold and the front is set with eight natural, cabochon cut, polished coral. The centre of the brooch features a plaited hair panel, set under a glass cover. The brooch has a secure clasp and pin.
The brooch measures 2.3cms x 1.9cms and it weighs 5.0g
As is often the case with jewellery of this age and type there are no hallmarks; the reverse of the brooch has been professionally tested and is made of 15ct yellow gold. The pin itself is made of steel.
