Antique Georgian 15ct Rose Gold, Seed Pearl and Foiled Citrine Paste Clasp
This beautiful antique clasp dates from around 1830 and is made of 15ct rose gold. The clasp is suitable for a four strand necklace and is set all around with genuine seed pearls which are well matched and with a nice lustre. The central stone is foiled citrine paste.
The front of the clasp measures 1.4cms x 1.2cms and the clasp weighs 3.2g
As is often the case with jewellery of this age and type there are no hallmarks, but the clasp has been professionally tested and is made of 15ct rose gold.
This antique clasp is around 200 years old and is in very good condition for its age, showing just light signs of age / general wear in the form of some minor fleabite sized nicks / superficial tiny pit marks to the paste stone. The clasp separates and clicks back securely into place as it should and is ready to fit to a necklace.
