Antique Georgian (c.1800 - 1820) Ivory and Gold Pique Inlay Tooth Pick Case With Mirror

This collectable antique tooth pick case dates from around 1800 - 1820 and is made of ivory. The case has pretty and detailed gold pique inlay detail and retains its original mirror and beige velvet lining. The workmanship in the foliate gold pique inlay work is really lovely.
The case measures 6.3cms x 2.3cms and it weighs 23.2g
The gold inlay and fittings test as 9ct rose gold.
This antique tooth pick case is over 200 years old and is in good condition for its age, showing light signs of age / general wear. There is no damage to the ivory. On close inspection it can be seen that a few of the gold pique dots are missing from the foliate detail and there are three edging ‘rivets’ missing. Inside the velvet lining is all intact showing light general wear. The mirror is intact with a little age related silvering. The case opens easily and closes securely with a click.
