Antique Georgian Plaited Hair Mourning Brooch / Lace Pin
This collectable antique mourning brooch dates from around 1820 - 1840. The brooch is gold plated and has a central plaited hair panel, under a glass cover.
The brooch measures 2cms x 1.3cms and it weighs 2.6g
There are no hallmarks; the brooch tests as gold plated. The pin itself is base metal.
This brooch is around 190 - 200 years old. The front of the brooch is in very good condition showing just light signs of age / general wear. The reverse shows some general wear in the form of a few scratches / light dents. The pin / clasp are in secure working order.
