Antique Victorian (1869) 15ct Gold, Turquoise and Pearl Ring

This lovely antique ring is made of 15ct yellow gold and dates from 1869. The ring front is set with eight cabochon cut turquoise and eight seed pearls, arranged in an interlocking horseshoe design. The gold has a lovely rich, buttery, tone.

The ring is between a UK size F and a half and G / between a US size 3 - 3.5. This is a small size ring which looks great as a pinky ring.

The ring has a maximum height, at the front, of 6mm and it weighs 2.0g

The inside of the ring shank bears the remains of the original hallmarks, including a Birmingham stamp and a date mark showing that it was made in 1869. The ring has been professionally tested and is made of solid 15ct yellow gold.

This antique ring is 156 years old and is in good condition for its age, showing just light signs of age / general wear. There is evidence of a historic re-sizing of the ring on the inside of the ring shank, at the back.
