This collectable antique charm is made from a converted, genuine, Victorian ‘three penny bit’ coin. The charm features Queen Victoria’s head on one side and the denomination details on the other. The coin is dated 1888 and was converted in antiquity to a charm by the addition of a suspension bale. The Sterling silver top suspension ring is new.
The charm measures 1.6cms diameter and it weighs 1.6g
There are no hallmarks but these coins were always made in Sterling silver.
This antique charm is 138 years old and is in very good condition for its age, with no damage and showing just light signs of age / general use and wear. The silver suspension ring is new and has not been soldered closed.
