This antique spinner pendant / fob is made of fully hallmarked Sterling silver and dates from 1896. One side of the spinner is set with a circular bloodstone plaque and the other side is set with cornelian. There is a fixed chain style Sterling silver frame and a silver suspension ring. The central circular part of the pendant spins freely within the frame.
The circular central section of the spinner measures 1.7cms diameter and the pendant weighs 6.3g
The silver mount is stamped with the lion passant (for Sterling silver), along with hallmarks showing that it was made in Birmingham in 1896. One of the fixed chain links also bears a lion passant.
This antique spinner is 130 years old and shows some signs of age / general wear. There is a tiny chip to the edge of the carnelian and a corresponding small / light dent to the silver in the same area. There is a small edge slither chip to the bloodstone panel (see photo for detail). The top suspension ring has not been soldered closed.
