This antique spinner pendant / fob is made of fully hallmarked Sterling silver and dates from 1900. One side of the spinner is set with a bloodstone plaque, and the other with a carnelian plaque.
The pendant has a height of 2.6cms (excluding the top suspension ring). Each of the stone plaques measures 1.2cms diameter.
The pendant weighs 3.8g
The silver mount is stamped with a lion passant (for Sterling silver), a Birmingham stamp and a date letter showing that it was made in 1900. There is a maker’s mark of ‘P&T’
This antique pendant is 125 years old and is intact, showing some general signs of age and wear. The stone plaques are in good condition (the bloodstone has tiny light pit-marks visible under magnification and in some lights) and the spinner spins freely in the mount. There is a very small dent to the silver mount in one area. The top suspension ring (which has not been soldered closed) is a later replacement and is a brighter silver than the rest of the pendant.
