Antique Victorian Bloodstone & Sard Watch Key
This antique functioning watch key dates from the Victorian era. The watch key is gold cased and the central section is set with a circular sard panel and a circular bloodstone panel. There is pretty foliate engraving detail around the central section and the top part of the watch key turns around to enable a watch to be wound. The watch key is I believe functioning and usable, but can also be worn as a pendant with a chain (not supplied) attached via the integral bale.
The watch key measures 3.3cms length (excluding the top suspension ring) and it weighs 2.1g
There are no hallmarks but the watch key has been professionally appraised and is assessed as gold cased.
This watch key is over 100 years old and is in good condition for its age, with no damage and showing just light signs of age / general wear. The sard and bloodstone panels are in very good condition.
