This antique stickpin dates from the Victorian or Edwardian era and is made of 9ct rose gold. The detachable (screw on / off) head is set with a cabochon cut cat’s eye chrysoberyl, surrounded by ten split cultured pearls.
The stickpin measures 7cms length; the terminal measures 11mm x 9mm.
The stickpin weighs 2.3g
As is often the case with jewellery of this age and type there are no hallmarks; the stickpin has been professionally tested and is made of 9ct rose gold.
This antique stickpin is over 100 years old and is in good condition for its age, showing light signs of age / general wear. There are some areas of discolouration to the pin (which I have only lightly polished). The chrysoberyl has a glossy surface finish with a cat’s eye effect in the centre. The terminal screws on and off the pin as it should.
