Antique Victorian / Edwardian Facetted Citrine Heart Pendant With 9ct Rose Gold Fittings
This good size antique facetted heart pendant dates from the Victorian or Edwardian era and is made of natural citrine. The citrine is a lovely smoky gold colour and has been cut and facetted to reflect the light beautifully. The pendant is set with a 9ct rose gold suspension ring and bale.
The heart measures 2cms height (excluding the suspension bale and top ring) and it weighs 3.4g.
As is often the case with jewellery of this age and type there are no hallmarks, but the bale and top suspension ring have been professionally tested and are made of 9ct rose gold.
This antique pendant is in very good condition for its age, with lovely crisp facets. There are no chips / damage other than one very small chip at the bottom tip and a couple of other minute fleabite sized nibbles to the edge. The top suspension ring has not been soldered closed.
