This antique fob dates from the Victorian or Edwardian era and is made of hallmarked 15ct yellow gold. The gold has a lovely warm, mellow tone and the fob is offered for sale in very good condition. I have added a solid 9ct gold suspension ring to the top. The fob would make a lovely and unique pendant or charm
The fob measures 1.7cms height (excluding the suspension ring) and the base measures 1.3cms x 10.5mm.
The fob weighs 3.0g
The top of the oval base is stamped ‘15C’ for 15ct gold, along with a maker’s mark. The fob also tests as 15ct gold. The top suspension ring is 9ct gold.
This antique fob is over 100 years old and is in very good condition for its age, with no dents or damage and showing just very light signs of age / general wear. I have only lightly cleaned the fob in order to retain its patina. The top 9ct suspension ring is new; it’s a slightly brighter / lighter gold than the rest of the fob and has not been soldered closed.
