Antique Victorian / Edwardian Natural Amethyst Heart Pendant With Silver Fittings
This lovely antique heart shaped pendant is made of natural, facetted, amethyst in a smoky lilac shade. The amethyst shows lovely, naturally occurring, colour and pattern variation within the stone and the pendant is set with silver fittings.
The heart measures 2cms height (including the integral bale, but excluding the top suspension ring) and the pendant weighs 2.7g
As is often the case with jewellery of this age and type there are no hallmarks, but the suspension ring tests as silver.
This antique pendant is in very good condition for its age, showing just very light signs of age / general wear. The amethyst is in very good condition with nice crisp facets and no chips or damage other than two tiny edge nibbles. Any other ‘marks’ that can be seen in the photos are naturally occurring colour or texture variation within the amethyst. The top suspension ring has not been soldered closed.
