Antique Victorian Gold Cased Watch Key Set With Bloodstone and Sard
This decorative antique watch key dates from the Victorian era. The watch key is gold cased and has decorative scrolling detail around the sides. One side of the central area is set with a circular bloodstone panel and the other side with a circular sard panel. I have no way of testing whether this watch key still winds watches as it should, but the functioning end appears to retain its original shape so I can see no reason why it would not work. This decorative watch key would also make an individual pendant or charm.
The watch key measures 2.9cms length (excluding the top ring) and it weighs 2.2g
There are no hallmarks; the watch key tests as gold cased
This antique watch key is well over 100 years old and is in good condition for its age, showing light sigs of age and general use. The sard panel is in good condition with no chips, the bloodstone panel has a little light pitting in a couple of edge areas. The gold casing is in good condition with a little light tarnish in a couple of areas. The top suspension ring has not been soldered closed.
