This collectable and rare antique stanhope charm / pendant dates from the Victorian era. The pendant / charm is made of serpentine and is in the form of a barrel. When you look through the miniature lens at one end of the barrel, you can see images of Lynton and Lynmouth (in Devon, UK). There are five black and white early miniature photos with the title ‘A Memory of Lynton & Lynmouth’ in the centre of the image. The barrel retains its original metal fittings.

The serpentine barrel measures 2.2cms width and the diameter of the tapered ends is 1cm

The charm / pendant weighs 7.4g

There are no hallmarks; there is no precious metal content.

This antique charm / pendant is well over 100 years old and is in very good condition for its age, showing just light signs of age / general wear in the form of a couple of fleabite nibbles around the viewing lens and the corresponding opening at the other side of the charm. There are no other chipped or damaged areas.
