Antique / Vintage Statement 9ct Gold and Bakelite (Faux Cherry Amber) Earrings
These vintage statement earrings have hallmarked 9ct yellow gold ear hooks and are set with a baton section and suspended faux cherry amber bakelite beads. The bakelite beads are not heavy, so these earrings are comfortable to wear.
The earrings have a drop (from the top of the ear hooks to the base of the bakelite beads) of 5.8cms. The bakelite beads each measures 1.8cms diameter.
The ear hooks are stamped ‘9K’ for 9ct gold. The gold metal baton sections test as 9ct gold but could be gold plated.
These antique / vintage earring are in very good condition for their age, showing just light signs of age / general wear. On close inspection it can be seen that there are a couple of tiny fleabite sized nibbles on the base of one of the bakelite beads, around the hole.
