These colourful, fairly substantial, vintage flower stud earrings are made of hallmarked 9ct yellow gold (both the earrings and the butterfly backs). Each earring is set with seven colourful, cabochon cut, natural opals, all arranged in a pretty flower design. The earrings are fitted with secure 9ct gold butterfly backs. The colours in the opals appear more vivid when they are set against a dark background (as in the main photo).
Each earring front has a diameter of 11mm and the earrings have a combined weight of 3.0g
Each earring post is stamped with a crown and ‘375’ for 9ct gold. There is also a London stamp; the date letter is unclear. Each butterfly back is stamped ‘375’ for 9ct gold.
These vintage earrings are in very good condition for their age, with no damage and showing just very light signs of age / general wear. The opals are all in very good condition with a glossy surface finish. The butterfly backs fit securely onto the posts.
