This colourful vintage pendant necklace is made of hallmarked 9ct yellow gold. The pendant is set with a natural, cabochon cut, freeform opal which displays pink, green and yellow colours in different lights. The opal is very colourful when against the skin but the colours look more vivid against a darker background. The opal has a glossy, polished, surface finish.
The chain measures 16” in length and the opal itself has a height of 1cm (excluding the gold mount).

The chain’s clasp is stamped ‘375’ for 9ct gold. The pendant’s bale has a partial ‘375’, along with a Birmingham stamp and a maker’s mark.
