This pretty and elegant antique ring dates from around 1910 and is made of 9ct gold. The gold has a lovely, warm, mellow tone and is somewhere between rose gold and yellow gold in colour. The ring is set with an icy, sparkly, natural aquamarine.
The ring is a UK size i and a half / a US size 4.5
The aquamarine (including the gold mount) measures 5mm diameter and the ring weighs 0.9g
The inside of the ring shank bears the remains of a hallmark which is now unclear (but can just be made out under magnification): ‘9CT GOLD’. The ring has also been professionally tested and is made of 9ct gold.
This antique ring is over 100 years old and is in good condition for its age, with no damage and showing light signs of age / general wear. The aquamarine is in good condition. The ring shank has flatted and reduced in thickness somewhat at the back through general wear.
