This striking and unusual ring dates from around 1920 and is made of hallmarked 9ct rose gold. The ring is set with an oval, polished, cabochon cut agate which displays attractive colour and pattern variation.

The ring is a UK size O ½ / between a US size 7 - 7.5

The ring front (i.e. the agate including the gold mount) measures 1.7cms x 9mm and the ring weighs 2.9g

The inside of the ring shank is stamped ‘9C’ for 9ct gold

This antique ring is around 100 years old and is in good condition for its age, showing just light signs of age / general wear. The agate is in lovely condition with no chips, damage or wear and with a lovely, glossy, surface finish. The agate is secure in the mount; there is a tiny bit of the gold mount absent in one area. There are light signs of a historic re-sizing of the ring at the back of the ring band.
