This antique heart padlock clasp is made of hallmarked 15ct yellow gold. The gold has a rich, buttery, tone and the clasp is in fully working, secure, order.

The top centre of the heart is stamped ‘15’ for 15ct gold. The clasp has also been professionally tested and is made of 15ct yellow gold.
This antique heart padlock clasp is over 100 years old. There are no dents to the clasp and it is in secure working order, opening easily and closing securely with a click. The front and sides of the locket are in excellent condition for their age. On the reverse there is a small area of variation in finish; it’s possible that the clasp started out as 15ct rose gold and the yellow gold finish was applied later as there is a little rose gold colour showing through on the back. The clasp tests as solid (not plated) 15ct gold.
