This good size vintage ring is made of fully hallmarked 9ct yellow gold and dates from 1972. The ring is set with a cabochon cut natural opal which reflects shimmering greens and pinks in different lights.
The ring is a UK size O and a half / between a US size 7 - 7.5
The opal itself (excluding the gold mount) measures 1.2cms x 1cm and the ring weighs 3.6g
The inside of the ring shank is stamped ‘9’ and ‘375’ for 9ct gold, along with hallmarks showing that it was made in London in 1972.
This ring is 53 years old and is in lovely condition for its age, with no damage and showing just the lightest signs of age / general wear. The opal is in great condition with no chips or damage and with a lovely, glossy, surface finish.
