Good Size Vintage (1972) 9ct Gold Double Strand Necklace Clasp
This versatile and classic design clasp is made of fully hallmarked 9ct yellow gold and dates from 1972. The clasp was designed to hold a double strand necklace.
The clasp weighs approximately 1.0g and measures 1.3cms x 8mm (the rectangular part of the clasp, excluding the end rings).
Both parts of the clasp are stamped ‘375’ for 9ct gold. The main part is also stamped with a crown and hallmarks showing that it was made in Birmingham in 1972.
This vintage clasp is 51 years old and is in very good condition for its age, with no damage and showing just light signs of age / used. It opens easily and clicks securely back into place.
