Large Antique (1906) Sterling Silver Gilded Heart Padlock Clasp
This lovely, good size, antique clasp is made of of fully hallmarked Sterling silver and dates from 1906. The clasp has a pale gold gilding.
The clasp measures 2.6cms height (including the securing arm) and it weighs 3.3g
The front of the clasp is stamped with the lion passant (for Sterling silver) and the reverse is stamped with another lion passant, along with hallmarks showing that it was made in Birmingham in 1906. There is a maker’s stamp of ‘FWC’
This clasp is 118 years old and is in very good condition for its age, with no dents or damage. The clasp opens easily and closes securely with a click.
