Large, Antique, Carnelian Tusk Pendant With 9ct Gold Fitting
This striking antique pendant is made of polished natural carnelian and is in the form of a tusk. There is a lovely play of colour / pattern within the carnelian and the pendant has a hallmarked 9ct gold suspension bale.
The pendant measures 5cms length (including the integral bale but excluding the top suspension ring) and it weighs 6.5g
The suspension ring is stamped ‘375’ for 9ct gold and ‘Italy’ (the suspension ring is a later replacement). The fitted bale is not hallmarked and has not been tested.
This antique pendant is in very good condition with no chips or damage and showing just light signs of age / general wear. The suspension ring has been cut.
