This unusual miniature antique brooch or lace pin dates from the Georgian era and is made of solid silver, with a 9ct gold backing. The brooch is set with a ‘black dot’ paste and three small accent diamonds.

The brooch measures 1.9cms height and it weighs 3.1g

As is often the case with jewellery of this age and type there are no hallmarks; the brooch has been professionally tested and is made of solid silver with a 9ct gold underside. The pin itself is made of steel.

This antique brooch is around 200 years old and is in good condition for its age, with no damage and showing just light signs of age / general wear. The black dot paste is in very good condition, the three small accent diamonds are an irregular cut (by design). A loop has been fitted to the reverse of the brooch so that a safety chain can be fitted, if desired. The pin / clasp are in secure working order.
