This sweet and decorative brooch is made of fully hallmarked Sterling silver and dates from 1887.
The brooch measures 4.7cms length and it weighs 3.3g
The underside of the brooch is stamped with the lion passant (for Sterling silver), along with hallmarks showing that it was made in Birmingham in 1887. There is also a maker’s mark.
This antique brooch is 139 years old and is in good condition for its age, showing some general signs of age / wear. The front of the brooch is in good condition, the reverse is lightly dented. By design the brooch pin moves freely in the hinge mount.
