Pretty Vintage (1966) 9ct Gold and Amethyst Flower Stud Earrings
These pretty vintage earrings are made of fully hallmarked 9ct yellow gold and date from 1966. Each flower style ear stud is centrally set with a sparkly genuine amethyst.
The earring fronts measure 1.2cms diameter and the earrings have a combined weight of 1.7g
Each earring post is stamped ‘375’ for 9ct gold along with a maker’s mark and hallmarks showing that the earrings were made in Birmingham in 1966. The butterflies are also made of 9ct yellow gold (the hallmarks on the butterfly backs are not very clear but they also test as 9ct gold).
These vintage earrings are 58 years old and are in very good condition for their age, with no damage and showing no obvious signs of age or wear. The amethysts are in lovely condition with no chips, scratches or wear. The butterflies fit securely onto the earring posts. These earrings have been cleaned in an ultrasonic cleaner prior to sale.
