Rare Antique Georgian Coral Three Row Necklace / Bracelet Clasp in Very Good Condition

This rare and functional antique three row necklace or bracelet clasp dates from around 1800 - 1830. The clasp seems to be part gold and part gold plated and tone is a mellow rose gold colour. The front of the clasp is set with a hand carved natural coral lozenge within an ornate carved surround. This clasp is offered for sale in very good condition: it opens easily and closes securely with a click.

The clasp has a height of 1.8cms and it weighs 2.3g

As is often the case with jewellery of this age and type there are no hallmarks; on testing the clasp showed mixed results with some areas testing as gold and others as gold plated.

This antique clasp is around 200 years old and is in very good condition for its age, with no damage and showing just light signs of age / general wear. There are no dents to the gold and no damage to the coral. The clasp functions as it should, opening easily and closing securely with a click.
