This charming and rare antique Victorian charm depicts the man-in-the-moon. The man-in-the-moon is made of pressed glass and is set in a gold plated mount, with a 9ct yellow gold suspension ring to the top. The front of the charm is 3D and reflects the light very nicely; the reverse of the charm is flat.
The charm has a diameter of 1.4cms and it weighs 1.1g
There are no hallmarks; the mount tests as gold plated and the suspension ring tests as 9ct yellow gold.
This antique charm is over 100 years old and is in good condition for its age, showing just light signs of age / general wear. There are no chips / damage to the front of the charm (the moon’s face), there are a couple of edge nibbles to the reverse of the glass (not visible from the front). The top suspension ring has not been soldered closed.
