This rare and collectable vintage 9ct gold articulated charm is in the realistically styled form of a corkscrew and bottle opener. The Corkscrew part can be moved to either side; it lines up and lies ‘hidden’ within the main frame when worn. The charm is fully hallmarked and dates from 1978.
The charm measures 3cms height (excluding the top suspension ring) and it weighs 2.4g
One side of the charm is stamped with a crown and ‘375’ for 9ct gold. There are also hallmarks showing that it was made in London in 1978, along with a maker’s mark.
This vintage charm is 48 years old and is in very good condition for its age, with no damage or dents and showing just very light signs of age / general wear. When lined up inside the main frame, the corkscrew part stays put but can be easily gently pushed out to either side. The top suspension ring has not been soldered closed. As can be seen from the photos, this charm has some fairly sharp parts so should be worn with care.
