This set of four antique buttons dates from the Edwardian era. Each button is made of hallmarked 9ct rose gold and the front is set with mother of pearl. The mother of pearl has a lovely lustre and iridescence, showing subtle tones of pink and green in different lights. The buttons have gold tone metal split rings attached to the backs.
Each button has a diameter of 1.4cms and the four buttons have a total combined weight of 7.5g
The reverse of each button is stamped ‘9CT’ for 9ct gold. The securing rings are made of a gold coloured metal (not gold).
These antique buttons are over 100 years old and are offered for sale in lovely condition for their age, with no dents or damage and showing just very light signs of age / general wear.
